Stations 1, 2 and 3 responded to a reported Structure Fire in a rear cottage unit off of Wenham Road, located in our Center Carver District.  Car 1 with C1 and C3 arrived first to find a light smoke condition coming from the eves with moderate smoke in the structure.  As first due, Engine 1 entered the scene they deployed a 4″ supply line down the long driveway allowing crews from Engine 2 and Tanker 1 to establish a secure water supply.  Using a water can extinguisher, C3 was able to knock down the majority of the fire, which had extended to a stove and kitchen cabinets.  Firefighters quickly overhauled any remaining fire and salvaged all the owners belongings.  A quick response by firefighters definitely saved the structure.  (Photo’s by 111 Retired, Gary Weston)
