On patrol, Carver Police reported heavy smoke coming from the front of a business located on Main Street in the center of Carver.  Company’s 1, 2 and 3 were dispatched as a possible reported structure fire.  Crews on first arriving Engine 1, extinguished a small exterior fire in the front porch area, while Firefighters from Rescue 1 and Engine 3 checked for possible extension to the interior basement and second floor.  No extension was found.  The combined effort of a great heads up observation by Carver Police combined with an very aggressive response and attack from Carver Firefighters definitely saved the building.
