What a great attendance for our annual Experenced Firefighter supper on Monday night. Over 30 CFD Firefighters were honored for their dedication for over 20 years of service!

This year, Massachusetts Firefighter Service Awards were presented to the following Firefighters:

Firefighter Kris Durling – 20 Years

Firefighter Billy Garnett – 20 Years

Firefighter Matt Farquharson – 20 Years

Captain Bill Froehlich – 30 Years

Firefighter Joe Kirk – 30 Years

Captain Eric Weston – 35 years

Firefighter Steve Falconer – 35 Years

Lieutenant Chris Mahoney – 35 Years

Firefighter Mike Williams – 45 Years

Two highlights of the evening were when Firefighter Mike Williams was presented with his 45 years of continuous service to CFD. Mike’s family was in attendance as a surprise to see him receive the honor. Congratulations Mike!

Retired CFD Firefighter John Santiper was honored for his 69 years of dedication to our Department and our Association! John was a dedicated member of Company 3 for many, many years. Officers and Firefighters from Company 3 picked John up at his house honoring him with a ride on newly rehabed Brush Breaker 28. John was then presented with a handmade plaque for all his years of dedication!
