Carver fire crews assembled early on Sunday morning for half a day of Brush Breaker training at the rear of the Plymouth / Carver Airport.  For many years, the airport has been kind enough to allow us to use a large rear wooded parcel to practice our breaker driving skills under realistic conditions.  The day’s training events started with an hour-long wildfire class taught by Deputy Germaine.  From there, Brush Breakers, guided by our Fire Officers and Station Trainers, traveled a heavily wooded course set up by Deputy Germaine.  Throughout the exercise, our entire department, on designated shifts, got a chance to travel the course using Brush Breakers 26, 27, and 28.  While groups of firefighters were practicing in the woods, other groups were getting experience familiarizing operations on our Forestry 25.  A water supply training component was also added to the exercise, with crews consistently refilling each Brush Breaker using Tankers 1, Tanker 2, and Engine 2.  A big thank you to all our Officers and Firelighters for attending and helping throughout the day!
