Company's 1, 2 and 3 participated in a forest fire drill in the Myles Standish State Forest. Brush Breakers from all three company's worked with the state police helicopters and state tower personnel in simulated forest fire evolutions.
The Carver Fire Department participated in the Family Fun Day at the Governor John Carver School this year by using the State Safety House. We used the house to teach children and their parents how to spot hazards in their homes, how to plan escape routes and meeting places, and how to get out of the house if there is a fire by using simulated smoke. We also demonstrated how the thermal imaging camera worked in the dense smoke.
The Carver Firefighters Association holds an annual Clam bake as a fund raiser for the projects and scholarships we have throughout the year.
