Fire crews responded to a reported brush fire on Village Way in South Meadow Village. Companies 1 and 3 were dispatched to the area. The first arriving unit reported 1/4 acre of woods involvement with slow moving fire. Companies made quick work of the fire knockdown, preventing it from growing and spreading to adjacent wooded areas. Breakers 27, 28, Engine 1, Tankers 1 & 2 all on the response. Great work everyone!
