The Recruit Class of 2012 was treated to an excellent Fire Control and Ventilation class. This year’s Recruit Training Class #10 (Ventilation and Fire Control) was total revamped, with Instructor’s Eric Weston, Mike Harriman and Eric Germaine, setting up 3 hands on practical ventilation stations at the Training Facility. Each recruit Firefighter got a chance to vent a roof on our roof simulator prop, perform hydraulic power venting in the smoke house and run the pump using Carver Engine 1. Although a late night, I am sure the rewards will become evident when these new Firefighters have to perform ventilation at a real incident. (Photo’s by Deputy Eric Germaine)
