Annual Apparatus Competition – Station 1 (Photo’s by Chief Craig Weston) - August 5, 2013

Amazing to see the pride our Firefighters take in their apparatus!  This year, our annual apparatus competition focused on our three front line Engines that are 17, 18 and 19 years of age.  The winner of this year’s competition was Engine 1, detailed by Company 1.  Company 1 spent a total of 95 hours detailing their Engine in order to be ready for the white gloves of the judges.  Crews working on Engine 2 and 3 weren’t that far behind.  Suction ends and tools were repainted, scratches on the exterior paint were touched up, interior compartments and the cabs were reorganized and cleaned, and the maxim red exteriors were buffed, waxed and polished.  Too bad their can only be one winner, because they all looked fantastic.  Our seven judges were Retired Chiefs, Dana and Bill Harriman, Retired Deputy Mark Weston, Retired Firefighter Gary Weston, along with Chief Craig Weston, Deputy Eric Germaine and Safety Officer Bob Telless.  (Photo’s by Chief Craig Weston)
