Brush Fire – Fuller Street - June 23, 2014

Fire Company’s 1 and 2 responded with Brush Breakers 27 and 29 to a reported Brush Fire in the bog area off of Fuller Street in North Carver.  Once on scene, C3 (Command), reported a 1/2 acre fire rapidly growing.  C3 ordered a response of an additional Brush Breaker and Engine Company to the scene.  In total, Breakers 26, 27 and 29 worked to control the fire to a 3/4 of an acre, while Carver Engine 2 established a water supply to fill Breakers.  Rescue 2 was utilized for rehab supplies.  Firefighters were on scene for two hours extinguishing hot spots.  The Brush Fire was threatening homes in the area and was located on the top of a high sand bank area, making access difficult in the beginning phases of the fire.
