MVA Entrapment – Tremont Street - June 5, 2017

Carver Fire, EMS and Police responded to a serious two vehicle MVA on Tremont Street with a reported person trapped and the vehicle on fire.  Caver Fire responded with Engine’s 1 and 3, Rescue 1 and Breaker’s 27 and 28.  The small vehicle fire was extinguished prior to our arrival.  Over 30 Firefighters worked the incident and covered our central station during the Incident.  Using multiple Jaws of Life tools, the patient was freed after an extensive extrication process in under twenty minutes, treated and transported by Carver EMS.  The larger tractor trailer was heavily damaged with fluids and contaminates stabilized by fire personnel.  Carver Fire, EMS and Police personnel all worked as a TEAM, giving the patient the best possible outcome.  (Photo’s by Assistant Deputy Chief Jesse Boyle)
