Open House – New Fire Headquarters (Photo’s by Firefighter Mike Terrill) - April 15, 2017

What a great day on Saturday for our Open House!  Hundreds of our residents were in attendance throughout the entire day, expressing sincere interest and giving compliments on the new facility.  A big thank you to our Officers, Firefighters and our faithful volunteers for helping us put the entire event together.  Our residents gathered on our front lawn to listen to speeches from our Town Administrator, Building Committee Chairman, Board of Selectmen and a representative from Homeland Security.  As always, our Master of Ceremony, Bob Middendorf, was on point and added his bits of humor.  The ribbon was cut by Chief Weston and Board of Selectmen Chair, Ron Clarke in front of new Engine 1’s apparatus door.  In unison, all the apparatus doors opened up and visitors were free to roam and tour the Station and new Training Facility.  A Med-flight helicopter and crew landed at our new landing zone, giving visitors a tour of their aircraft.  The crowd didn’t stop until 3:00pm and the day was considered a huge success!  Thank you all for your support during the 3 year project!
