Small Brush Fire – Popes Point Road - July 8, 2019

Carver Firefighters made quick work of a roadside brush fire on the Carver-Middleborough town line.  Carver brushbreakers respond to all outside fires. They each carry 750 gallons of water, and are equipped with pump and roll capabilities. This means the truck can drive and pump water at the same time, a critical feature of a forest fire truck. Firefighters have the options to pull long hoses into the woods, or operate from short hoses without leaving the apparatus. (Photo’s by Assistant Deputy Chief, Jesse Boyle)
