Recently rehabbed (2024) Brush Breaker 28, a 1999 International 4800 series all wheel drive with a 250 gallon per minute diesel pump, a 750 gallon water tank, a class A foam system, and seating for 4 firefighters. The unit was originally built by the E. J. Murphy Co. located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. In 2024, Breaker 28 was completely rehabbed by Bull Dog Fire Apparatus back at the original Hopkinton, MA Facility. The rehab included new frame and chassis paint, rebuilt pump, new valves, all new plumbing, all new electrical wiring, GPS panel, air primer system, new foam pro system, the addition of a rear electric 25,000lb winch, upgraded LED scene, LED undercarriage lighting and emergency lighting, FireCom headset system, an air-operated tanker dump valve shoot that can be controlled in the cab and both side of the apparatus, plus numerous structural modifications. We can’t thank the TEAM at Bull Dog Fire Apparatus enough. Their friendly and professional demeanor was evident throughout the entire project, and their attention to detail and quality was impeccable. We are extremely satisfied with the final outcome of the new Brush Breaker 28! Brush Breaker 28 is assigned to Station 3 located in the south end of town.
