Safety Officers Drill (Apparatus Driver Safety Course) – Carver Primary School - October 23, 2011

Diver Dexterity Dive Drill – Hall Bog Reservoir - October 16, 2011

What a unique and great dive drill put together last Sunday by Dive Master Josh McDermott. Divers had to work in teams of two, showcasing their underwater dexterity by carving pumpkins. Yup, instead of rescuing victims they had to team up and carver pumpkins, UNDER WATER. Baby Sitter Fire Prevention Class – Caver Library - October 11, 2011

Fire Chief Craig Weston gets the opportunity to work with thirty 4th, 5th and 6th graders on Fire Safety tips use while you are babysitting. The one hour class is taught each year at the Carver Public Library, with more and more children in attendance each year. Fire Chief Craig Weston gets the opportunity to work with thirty 4th, 5th and 6th graders on Fire Safety tips use while you are babysitting. Company 2 MVA Drill – Carver Fire Training Facility - September 21, 2011

Company 2 Officers and Firefighters give all the rescue tools, including the new Res-Q-Jack system, a good workout at a mock motor vehicle accident at the CFD Training Center. This exercise was unique since one vehicle was postitioned upside down with a patient trapped inside, while another vehilce was postitioned on it side. Experienced Firefighters Night – Carver Sportsman’s Club - September 12, 2011

A great time was enjoyed by all who attended the 2011 Experienced Firefighters Night at the Carver Sportsmen’s Club on Monday evening.  Company 2 hosted the event with a delicious prime rib dinner.  About 60 Firefighters and Experienced Members were on hand.  Length of Service Award pins were given out to Deputy Germaine for 20 years of service and Captain Bob Telless and Firefighter Joe Peck for 40 years of service.  Again, what a  great meal and nice job by...

Hurricane Irene – Town of Carver - August 28, 2011

About 30 Officers, Firefighters and Fire Dispatchers staffed all three Fire Stations for 36 hours straight during the peak of Hurricane Irene’s strong winds. Firefighters responded to about 80 emergencies during the storm. These emergencies ranged from wires down, transformer fires, large trees on homes to mutual aid coverage to the Town of Wareham. Our annual apparatus contest is geared to creating comradere among Firefighters, while maintaining a longer life span for the equipment our Town has bought to protect our residents. MVA with Entrapment – Cranberry Road - July 22, 2011

Company's 1 and 3 were dispatched, bringing Car 1, Engine 1, Engine 3, Rescue 1 and approximately 20 firefighters to the scene. Truck Fire – Off Commerce Way - July 19, 2011

2011 Carver Fire Recruit Graduation – Carver Fire Station 1 - April 9, 2011

Finally..........Graduation Day! The Class of 2011 spends the morning at the Training Center for a final practical skills test, then at 1:00 pm the formal graduation ceremony starts at Station 1. Speeches by Selectmen and Chief Officers followed by presentation of certificates, badges and accountability tags that no longer say "recruit" on them. Life is good. Loading Dock Fire – 160 North Main Street - April 2, 2011

Engine 2 and Tanker 1 crews under the direction of Chief Weston work a loading dock fire at the old Shaw's Plaza near the Plympton town line. The foam rubber bumpers that surround the doors burned quite intensely and the first arriving crew was met with fire up the side of the building and shooting over the roof.
