The annual truck inspection competition was held on August 10, 2010. Organized by FF Bob Middendorf, the event challenges the 3 Firefighting Company’s to have the cleanest piece of apparatus. This year it was Pumping Engines. The trucks are judged for all facets of interior and exterior appearance. Many man hours (and woman hours) of labor are volunteered by the company members to outdo the other ends of Town. The winner of the competition this year was Company 3. The large trophy was donated by our sister department, the Syosset New York Fire Department, in memory of 4 of their Firefighters who had answered their last alarm.
