Brush Fire – High Street - November 4, 2013

Firefighter from Company’s 1 and 2 responded to a Brush Fire in the area of High and Gate Street in North Carver.  Deputy Germaine spotted the smoke while on a patrol, reporting about a half acre, moving slowly.  Firefighters utilized Breakers 27 and 29 to extinguish the fire.  Firefighters deployed one of the departments float pumps on a nearby pond to help extinguish the deep rooted fire.  The dry conditions caused the fire to burn deep into the ground, requiring a very large amount of water and foam to be applied.
