Members of Company 3 visited the landfill on Federal Road, which is operated by American Ref-Fuel as part of their annual hazardous materials training. FF Matt Sears of Company 3, who is employed by American Ref-Fuel as an environmental engineer, conducted the training. Proper methods of recognizing, identifying, and dealing with hazardous materials using resources available to first arriving fire units were practiced and critiqued.
