Firefighters from Company 3 utilized Engine 3, Breaker 28, Tanker 1, Rescue 2 and our Hovercraft to review winter fire operations and winter ice rescues. Unique training stations were set up along the ponds edge, where groups of Firefighters each got a chance to drive our hovercraft and rescue a simulated person through the ice. Other groups practiced rescue scenarios using winter surveil suits, using our ice auger for winter drafting operations and reviewing the new features on our recently refurbished Tanker 1. A large turnout of firefighters, great ice conditions along with careful planning, made the drill a sucsess. (Photo’s by Retired Chief Bill Harriman)
