Deputy’s Drill – Carver Fire Department Training Facility - July 25, 2004

All 3 Company’s participate in quarterly Deputy drills orchestrated by DFC Mark Weston. This drill required that each FF go through 4 different stations. Working as teams, FF’s had to remove a “victim” who was trapped by a fallen beam in a smoke filled building, rescue a downed firefighter in the maze building, and rescue a victim from inside a large steel tank through an 18″ opening. The 4th station was for familiarization with recently purchased dive equipment. It is safe to say that everyone was both mentally and physically challenged, but as always, the men and women of the Carver Fire Department rose to the occasion and accomplished the objective.
