Carver Fire divers went to work on Sunday morning with a mission in mind. The goal was to retrieve our submerged dive car prop, in order to perform some needed repairs. Our dive prop was built by Carver Fire Divers back in 2005 and submerged in a private pond in North Carver to be used for training evolutions. The water and a few exotic creatures have started to take a toll on the underwater vehicle. Dives spent the morning using powerful air bags to float the vehicle and then used the winch on Brush Breaker 29 to pull it to shore. Once ashore, Assistant Diver Master Tom Fitzgerald went to work welding and making some needed repairs. Once fixed, the vehicle was somehow floated back out and submerged to a new location ready for our divers to explore at their next dive drill. (Photo’s by Firefighter Steve Falconer)
