With numerous ponds, reservoirs and winter flooded cranberry bogs, teaching Carver’s children about ice safety is a challenge that our Ice Safety Team takes very seriously. A very comprehensive program has evolved over time and seems to get better every year and this year was the best yet! Our Fire Prevention Team just did an absolutely outstanding job working with over 800 of our young children teaching Ice Safety. All our tricks where pulled out of the bag, with Firefighters dressed in survival suits greeting each of the kids, along with carefully bringing our Hovercraft inside the gymnasium so every student could step inside and take a look. Deputy Germaine dazzled the crowd with a play by play presentation on the do’s and don’ts of Ice Safety. (Photo’s by Firefighter Mike Shaw and our Comma Lady)
