Kitchen Fire – Plymouth Street - August 9, 2012

Company’s 1, 2 and 3 responded to a kitchen fire in the area on Plymouth Street in North Carver.  A fair amount of smoke was showing from the structure on arrival and orders were given for Engine 2 to lay a 4″ supply line into the scene.  Firefighters quickly advanced an attack line in the side door extinguishing any residual fire and checking for extension.  Once the fire was confirmed out, a positive pressure fan was set up to expel the smoke condition.  Engine 1, Tanker 1 and Rescue 1 were brought into the scene for a potential water supply and extra manpower, while Carver Engine 3 covered our Central Fire Station.  (Photo’s by Firefighter Steve Falconer)
