In May of 2000 Carver Firefighters spent the day at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy in Stow fighting live flammable gas fires. Operating in full protective clothing in 90 degree heat they worked controlling and extinguishing both propane and natural gas fires involving actual gas equipment that firefighters might encounter in their own communities.
