Carver Firefighters from Companies 1 and 2 responded to Wenham Rd for a crash with two trapped occupants. Members from Rescue 1 and Engine 2 formed into several groups, simultaneously working to stabilize the vehicle which was resting on its side, removing the windshield to get access to the patients, and staffing a charged hose line to protect the trapped occupants and firefighters in the event the vehicle caught on fire during patient removal. Engine 1 was staged down the road in preparation for a possible Medflight Landing Zone which fortunately was not needed. Having sufficient staffing to manage all that is required at such an incident is something you can count on our members to provide. We are thankful for their constant dedication! Carver EMS treated the patients while Carver Police kept the road closed to traffic. (Photo’s by Rob and Tyler Readon)
