The Recruit Class of 2010 spends an evening cutting, prying, pushing & pulling metal using some of the finest rescue tools available today. Guided by instructors who have both a high level of training plus years of experience in actual rescue work, the recruits do the work under realistic but controlled conditions. The vehicles used are donated to the FD and then prepared with a front end loader to simulate actual motor vehicle accident damage. (Photo’s by 314 Retired, Gerry Farquharson)
