Members of the CFD Fire Prevention Team interacted with over 600 students at the Gov. John Carver School. The children were acquainted with Firefighter tools of the trade, the sight and sound of Firefighters in protective clothing wearing breathing apparatus and each got to see the inside of Engine 1. They then entered the Plymouth County Student Awareness Fire Education House and were taught about calling 9-1-1, staying low in smoke, and other fire safety principles that could save lives. Each child received a red fire hat and stickers to take home as a reminder of a special day with the Firefighters. (Photo’s by Chief Dana Harriman and Firefighter Billy Piper)
