Structure Fire – Rickard Street - February 10, 2013

While still working signification storm incidents, Company’s 1, 2 and 3 were dispatched to another reported building fire on Rickard Street in our North Carver District.  On arrival, C1 (Command) reported a moderate smoke condition coming from the buildings eves.  A crew from Engine 2, along with Deputy Germaine quickly opened up an inner wall by the fireplace finding a heavy fire condition.  Crews quickly knocked down the fire, containing it to the area around the fireplace.  Firefighters made a great stop, saving the structure and keeping the home livable through the storm.  (Photo’s by Fire Chief Craig Weston)
