Company’s 1, 2 and 3 responded to a mid morning Structure Fire in the West Street area of town. On arrival, heavy exterior fire was observed with possible extension to the attic. Carver C1, declared a working fire, while Officers and Firefighters from Engine 1 worked quickly to extinguish the exterior fire. Second and third crews from Engine 2 and Rescue 1 worked the interior and attic sectors, checking for extension. Carver Engine 3 established a water supply on Beaver Dam Road, while Engine 4 covered Central Station. The fire was contained to a small portion of the attic and the exterior siding.
