Fire crews responded to a reported vehicle fire off Tremon Street, our South District. On arrival, crews assessed that the vehicle was a van that was fully engulfed and spreading close to nearby exposures. Crews from Engine 3 quickly gained access to the narrow roadway leading us to the vehicle and stretched a 1 3/4″ line knocking the stubborn fire down. Firefighters from Engine 1 assisted with overhaul and additional water. The homeowners were extremely thankful that the quickly spreading fire was contained before spreading to a large shop and boat.
