Firefighters from Company’s 1 and 2 teamed up this month for a large scale water supply drill at our Dive Pond in North Carver. Officers focused on basic water supply, designing a water shuttle with Engine 1 as a supply Engine, and Tanker 1 and Brush Breaker 27 on a continuous loop to keep Engine 2’s master stream, and a for the most part, a blitz fire gun flowing water. Also incorporated into the evolution was some hands on training with our float pumps that are carried on each brush breaker and an overview of Forestry 25. Near the end of the drill a wrench was thrown in as Company’s 1 and 3 were dispatched to an MVA with Entrapment on South Meadow Road, in our center district. (Photo’s by Retired Chief Bill Harriman)
