Fire Company’s 1, 2 and 3 were dispatched to a reported porch fire with extension to the basement of a home off of Jason Drive in South Carver.  First on scene, Captain Sears, reported a smoldering fire under the entrance porch with possible extension to the basement.  Crews from Engine 3 and Engine 1 overhauled and contained the fire to a portion of the porch and the sill plate of the home.  Tanker 1 and Rescue 1 were brought into the scene for manpower and support.  Thank goodness the homeowner was home or this certainly could have extended throughout the house.  (Photos by Retired Chief, Bill Harriman)
