This year instead of Open House at the 3 fire stations, an Open House was held at the Fire Department Training Center. Members of the Fire Prevention Team had Fire department equipment and training aids on display for children and adults. Some interactive props allowed children to hold the hose, squirt the nozzle, and knock over a target. Adults got to run the controls of the “Jaws of Life” and look into a room full of smoke through the lens of a Thermal Imager. Thanks to our friends at the Myles Standish State Forest, a very special Bear stopped by to caution children from playing with matches. (Photo’s by Firefighter Billy Piper)
