Members of Company 2 refreshed their Rapid Intervention skills at a recent drill at the training facility.  The Company was divided up into 3 groups, where they conducted re-familiarization training with SCBA paks by first finding and then donning their air paks in a completely dark environment.  The instructors would challenge the group by supplying two of the three paks with full air bottles and one with an empty one, forcing the group to implement their buddy breathing systems.  Instructors worked with other groups of firefighters teaching R.I.T. techniques and practiced removing a downed firefighter that was trapped in different scenarios.  (Photo’s by Retired Firefighter Rick Leopardi)
