Small Structure Fire – Pope Point Road - May 12, 2019

Fire Company’s 1, 2 and 3 responded to a reported fire under a home on Point Road.  Smoke was showing on arrival, with first due Engine Company 1 stretching a line to the rear of the structure.  The fire was contained to a small work area under the home.  It was determined that a portable sump pump had malfunctioned, igniting the walls and ceiling area.  Water supply was established by Engine 3 crews, while crews from Rescue 1 and Engine 2 assisted with manpower.  (Photo’s by Retired Fire Chief, Bill Harriman)
