Structure Fire – Tremont Street (Photo’s by Retired Fire Chief Bill Harriman) - July 31, 2013

At 22:46, Fire Company’s 1, 2 and 3 were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the area of 307 Tremont Street.  First on scene, Deputy Germaine, reported a double wide manufactured home with heavy smoke pushing from the eaves.  Over 50 CFD Officers and Firefighters responded to the incident utilizing Engines 1, 2 and 3, Rescue 1, Tanker 1, and Breaker 28 with Engine 4, Breakers 27, 29 and Command Car 2 assigned for Town coverage.  Firefighters made a very aggressive fire attack from both sides A and C of the structure,  knocking down the outside fire and interior fire in the kitchen, family room and attic quickly.  Due to a quick knock down by Firefighters from Company 3, a working fire was not transmitted. Water supply was established with Tanker 1, while Engine 1 prepared to lay a 4” supply line to the nearest water supply about 400 feet away.  Fire Company’s remained on scene for an extensive interior overhaul and to assist with lighting for the investigation.  The fire is being investigated by Carver Fire, Carver Police and the State Fire Marshall’s Office and is classified as lit fire, being criminal in nature.  (Photo’s by Retired Fire Chief, Bill Harriman)
