Carver Firefighters responded to a second alarm fire in Kingston today. C3 and Engine 1 with a crew of 6 were assigned as the Rapid Intervention Team, which is specifically for the purpose of rescuing firefighters if something goes wrong inside the fire building. Despite having multiple frozen hydrants, Kingston Fire quickly brought the fire under control. Special Announcement: Fire Chief Craig Weston has announced his plans to retire after more than 20 years as Chief of Department.   On Tuesday February 3, 2026, the Carver Selectboard unanimously voted to appoint Deputy Eric Germaine to the position of Fire Chief.   Chief Weston has served Carver for 38 years, joining the department in 1988.
