MVA – North Main Street - November 12, 2022

Fire Company 2 responded to a reported MVA with entrapment in the area of North Main Street.  Crews from Engine 2 reported that the driver was not trapped, but the vehicle was severely comprised on a guardrail.  Fire crews secured hazards and awaited the towing company for vehicle removal. Multiple MVA’s – Route 44 - November 2, 2022

Police, Fire and EMS crews were extremely busy with multiple serious MVA's on Route 44. Carver C2 along with Carver Police, Carver EMT's and Paramedics went above and beyond attempting life-saving efforts to one critically injured person.  Fire crews from Engine 2, Breaker 29 and Rescue 1 worked the first 5-vehicle MVA, assisting Carver EMS and Carver Police. MVA Entrapment – Route 44 - October 6, 2022

At 4pm on Wednesday 10/05/2022, Carver 911 dispatchers received a call for a motor vehicle crash on Rt 44 east, prior to Rt 58. Carver Fire, EMS, Police, and the Massachusetts State Police all responded. Initial reports indicated that one person may be trapped. Upon arrival, crews encountered a single vehicle crash, with the lone occupant trapped in the vehicle. Paramedics and EMTs from Carver EMS began emergency care to the patient. 2019 Experienced Firefighters Night – CFD Headquarters - September 12, 2022

Our annual “Experienced Firefighters Night”, is a great time to honor our 25+ year veterans of CFD.  Our retired members as well as specially invited guests joined active firefighters for an appreciation dinner, while special awards are presented. Vehicle Fires – Walker Road - August 21, 2022

MVA Entrapment – Purchase Street - August 8, 2022

Fire Companies 1 and 2 responded to a reported MVA involving a Trash Truck and SUV.  Engines 1 and 2, Rescue 1 and Breaker 29 responded to the call.  All occupants of the SUV safely exited the vehicle, however, the driver of the large trash truck had to be removed using the Jaws of Life.  Firefighters were able to quickly remove the driver’s door giving Carver EMS access to the patient.  Crews from Rescue 1 and Engine 2 secured leaking...

Company 2 Water Supply Drill – Hall Bog - June 23, 2022

Company 2 conducted a water Supply Drill this past week. The Company utilized Tanker 1 and Brush Breaker 29 to shuttle water from a water supply about 3/4 miles away being filled by our Engine 4. Company 3 MVA Drill – CFD Training Facility - May 22, 2022

Company 3 conducting realistic training scenarios at a recent Jaws of Life drill. Brush Fire – Plymouth Street - May 1, 2022

Dog Rescue – Indian Street - April 5, 2022

Deputy Fire Chief Eric Germaine rescued "Skeeter" after he was trapped in a septic tank off Indian Street.  The dog’s owners had been looking for Skeeter for over an hour before discovering him in a nearby septic tank.  Skeeter must have had quite a fall and was extremely lucky that his owners decided to look inside.  After a good shower, Deputy Germaine was back in service.

Water/ Mud Rescue – Bates Pond - April 4, 2022

At approximately 6:30 pm, Carver Public Safety was notified of a young adult stuck up to his chest in the mud in Bates Pond, our South Carver District. Carver Police, Carver EMS and Carver Fire with about 30 Officers/Firefighters responded to the Incident. The Carver Fire Dive Team was also activated and staged on scene as a precaution. MVA – Tremont Street - March 28, 2022

Carver Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle crash on Tremont St this evening. Initial reports stated that a vehicle had exited the road and was in the water, and as a result the CFD Dive Team was dispatched along with all 3 fire companies. Recruit Training Class #6 – SCBA Practicals - February 19, 2022

What a great training class our new Firefighters were treated to on Saturday.  Our Instructors used their imagination in creating two separate Rescue/Maze training scenarios in the new Training Building.  Our new Firefighters were divided up into two stations.  One group worked in the new maze room, another group worked 1st and 2nd floor search and rescue scenarios.  The building was pumping out smoke all morning long with our new firefighters seeming to love every minute of it.  Great class!...

Recruit Training Class #5 – PPE / SCBA Classroom - February 17, 2022

Our new Firefighters reviewed Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in class this week.  Firefighters got familiar with weekly SCBA checks and learned the do’s and don’ts of their PPE gear.  Next class (Outdoor Practical) they will use their knowledge in the field, as live search and rescue practical scenarios will be conducted in our Training Facility. New Forestry 25 Delivery - January 17, 2022

Carver Fire Department’s new Forestry 25 returned to quarters following a visit to our sign artist, Mr. Gregg Heger. The numbering scheme of “25” dates back to the 1940’s in which Plymouth County Fire Chief’s Association designated specific numbers to each fire department.
